Orgasmic Science

One of the most popular snippets on Lucrezia Magazine is the small front page segment titled The Science of Orgasm. I’m amazed with the number of visits this topic has experienced today, thanks to an unexpected link on an online forum.

The book, The Science of Orgasm, is exactly what it is - a scientific exploration of the orgasm, for men and women. And although it is a very brief partial summary of interesting facts, it is a detailed book that answers many questions, some that many may not even consider at certain points of their lives. As early as last year, I would not have really stopped to consider the effect of medication on orgasm, but this year, it has been a new experience for me. I can’t say that I’m really miffed about the side effects of medication on my ability to have orgasms, I’m capable of having them, just not that frequent. The frequency has more to do with my frame of mind than anything else. Everything down south is fine, and in working order, it is a matter of synchronizing my thoughts with the nether regions, and some days I don’t really ‘feel like it’ or I don’t even stop to consider having that orgasm a day. It’s like forgetting to run an errand. That is how it feels for me most days.

Taking certain medications is known to wreak havoc with sexual frequency and libido. Zoloft for me means that I practically need a siren of an alarm as a reminder, because I can go without for quite some time - and two weeks is a long time. It’s only when I think of the time that I get busy, when I make the time.

Those interested in buying the book (no, I don't get any financial kickbacks for linking to the publisher site) can access the link via LM.

Afternoon Shenanigans & Discounts

Sex Toys and Vibrator Reviews at VibeReviewI've spent the afternoon tinkering around on Lucrezia Magazine, thinking I screwed the HTML code up. Don't ask me how, but that was my first thought even though I wasn't manually adjusting code. The home page went pear shaped with a suddenness that befuddled me. What did I do?

One hour later or five smokes later, I was told by my host that my site wasn't functioning properly due to their maintenance. Thank goodness for small things.

Anyway, my main objective, before I escape to the kitchen to grill burgers, wash dishes, feed kitties, supervise math homework, all to the background soundtrack of the Olympics relates to a great offer currently on Hence the racy picture on the left.

To celebrate change, Vibereview currently has an Obama for President coupon/offer that enables shoppers to receive a 10% discount on the purchase of products from the site. Click this link or the image to get there and shop.

Don't forget to check out new content on the mag.

Lucrezia Magazine Update

This week, combined with the Olympics and the new addition (kitty) at home, has been a little slower for me. It sucks when sleep patterns are a shambles, however, there is new content in Lucrezia and this will be followed by new reviews of erotic literature.

For now though:
Read Peter Baltensperger's essay on the Yoni.
There is also a review of Alison Tyler's erotic anthology (Cleis Press) Open for Business.
In the spirit of the Olympics, there is a piece from Reuters ("If Sex Sells, So Be It") on the sex of beach volleyball. I don't care what the frumpy Martha's think. Beach volleyball rocks!

As well as the above, there is erotic fiction: Night in the Park and Iced

More Erotica - Iced

It's Tuesday for me, but Monday for many in North America. This Monday (or Tuesday) sees more erotica, this time by Erin O'Riordan. It's called 'Iced' and it's about a boy and a girl, and another girl...

Be back much later, the new family addition - Zelda - is full of beans and wreaking havoc. Ah well, at least she knows how to handle blokes. She's keeping Sylvester on his toes, and isn't beneath the occasional surprise attack.

Monday Erotica

Eroticpark There is nothing like beginning the week, or Monday, with something sexier than a gray office partition. I'm glad I don't have any of those at home.

The first erotic story of this week, on Lucrezia Magazine, is titled Night in the Park by Seattle based writer Z.Ferguson. Let's just say that it adds a dose of eroticism to the nightly park jog. And there are more stories lined up for this week. Erin O'Riordan's story 'Iced' will be published on the magazine within the next 48 hours, and I'm currently researching theme parks.

I'm going to rest up for an hour. I've been spreading myself thin, also dealing with energetic kitties!

Lucrezia & Other Updates

There are plenty of erotic stories, reviews and articles to arrive on Lucrezia Magazine. This week sees an erotic-romance titled Leaving Home by erotica newcomer Gaby DeMuro, that explores the dilemma that many couples experience when the challenge of long distances arise. Roxanne Rhoads is back to review Cleis Press' Yes Sir: Erotic Stories of Male Dominance (edited by Rachel Kramer Bussel). This week has been a really busy week, for another reason - my son is on school holidays/vacation, and after this week he is back at school! (silent, 'yey!'). The week will conclude with us seeing The Dark Knight. We are thinking of seeing it tonight, but as it is the Australian premiere, we're anticipating a sell out, but if we do manage to see it, that is another school holiday mission out of the way (admittedly, I've been dying to see The Dark Knight).

This week commenced with taking him on a shopping spree to give his wardrobe a little bit of an update, and as he is taller than me now (at the young age of 14), and tends to take after my father: tall, solid and hardly what I can describe as a toothpick, we hit the department stores. If I go back, way back to when he was a little toddler, shopping at places like Target and K-Mart (they have cute ranges of children's apparel), shopping was so easy. Now, however, I'm also trying to develop his inner fashionista because -at 14- he's still nonchalant about clothes. If it was up to him, his clothes would develop holes by the time he updated them.

Anyway, check out the new content on Lucrezia Magazine. I'm still on the lookout for any author news, and this week haven't had that much time to surf the web to find any. If you're an erotica author and you wish to have anything updated, send me an email. If there are any events you wish to be promoted, feel free to join as a member, and you can post the event up - it's a free service.

A Cold One & New Erotic Fiction

It's the coldest day of the year (for Sydney). I spent the better part of the afternoon shopping for a heater and managed to find one on sale at K-Mart. Man it's cold!

Earlier, I did manage to update Lucrezia Magazine. Check out new erotic fiction by Thom Gautier - The Bet

This Week in Lucrezia Blogs

This week in Lucrezia Blogs has new topics. My update blog (the official blog) has the most non exciting post detailing my recent email (related to the mag server) tech issues so I won't link to that - it's not anything noteworthy lol, however, in Domina Doll's blog, there is a post about Dr Henry Morgentaler, a Canadian pro-choice advocate and in Conversations with Bod, the question of fat and guilt for women, is explored with humor.

Lucrezia Blogs

Creating a new blog family is a buzz. Lucrezia magazine has two in-house blogs.
Pop my Cherry, which will explore sexuality through the lens of pop culture and Conversations with Bod, which explores body image and womanhood.

As you can see, there is no rest for the wicked.
